Terry Godbey, a talented Central Florida artist of many channels, will host multiple events in Central Florida this spring.

Godbey will read excerpts from her fourth poetry book, Hold Still, on March 14th from 7-11 p.m. at the Maitland Art Center. Tickets for the event are $5 and include a free drink. Godbey will read twice at the event.

One of Godbey’s paintings, “Osprey on a Windy Day”, is being featured in the “Paint the Town” exhibition at the gallery at Avalon Island in Downtown Orlando. The three-week show opens with a reception on Thursday, March 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. and will include paintings, sculptures and other artwork.

Godbey will read from Hold Still at The Warehouse on Brookhaven in Lake Ivanhoe on Saturday, March 29. She will read alongside two authors with new books of short stories: David James Poissant (The Heaven of Animals) and Vanessa Blakeslee (Train Shots). The readings will start at 7 p.m. at 1300 Brookhaven Drive, just off Virginia Drive. There will be an after party at Matador after the event.
