The Florida Writers Association’s 16th Annual Writers Conference – themed What a Character – runs Thursday – Sunday, October 19-22 in Altamonte Springs, FL, near Orlando. Online registration is closed, but walk-ins are welcome at the door.
Brad Kuhn and I are thrilled to be on the faculty this year, and look forward to seeing all of you there. Here’s a link to the schedule.
Here’s what the FWA website has to say:
Past attendees call the Florida Writers Conference “Inspiring,” “Educational,” and “Entertaining.” And here are ten more reasons why you should join us:
- Pitch to literary agents from noted agencies like Folio Literary Management and Trident Media Group
- Pitch to acquisition editors from St. Martins Press, Harlequin Romance, Tor Books, and more
- Meet David Morrell, the National Guest of Honor and Celebrity Workshop presenter
- Meet Florida Writer of the Year Steve Berry, keynoter and faculty member
- More than 70 workshops and panels
- Read your first page to agents and editors and get critiqued
- All conference meals included in registration fee
- Sell your book at the conference bookstore and hold a book signing
- Celebrate the winners (and maybe you’re one of them) at the RPLA Banquet
- One-on-one meetings with conference faculty
