Heart to Heart: Writing a Verse Novel

Melody Dimick in Pearls

Rik Feeney of FWA Orlando wants Scribblers to know:

“When characters and their emotions are the drivers of your story, consider writing a verse novel,” says Melody Dimick, speaker at the next FWA Orlando meeting being held Wednesday,  July 11th at 6:30 pm at the University Club of Winter Park. Dimick will share with attendees, 1) what a verse novel is and how to determine if writing in verse will work for them, 2) the right questions to ask themselves in order to link poems into a complete story arc, and 3) the value of white space in a poem to reach a target audience. The meeting is free and open to the public. Contact Rik Feeney at usabookcoach@gmail.com for more information.
