Jim Alabiso is a writer, producer, columnist, and thalassophile. From his “Water Works” column at Arbus Magazine or as the former host and writer of the television show “Tonight! with Jim Alabiso”, Jim brings his unique brand to the arts and culture community. He is the author of the serial novel “All the Angels Come,” Jacksonville’s epic fairytale. Jim also wrote the theatrical script which was recently performed at Players by the Sea and directed by Barbara Colaciello and scored by Boja Kragulj. A spin-off film “Masuyo” is currently in development. Jim, in association with Players by the Sea and the Cummer Museum of Art, produced the play “To the Sea” written by Kelly Siddons based on his personal water stories. Jim produces collaborative projects through his company LEAP. His current projects include a screenplay based on “All the Angels Come,” a new short story and interviews with artists from Jacksonville and around the world. He is also the director of JumpingFish, an advocacy organization with a mission to activate the St. Johns River. An open water swimmer at the core, water is in Jim’s heart and in his art.
We’re thrilled to have Jim reading with us at JaxbyJax Literary Arts Festival on Saturday, October 13th.
