Iowa native James Greene’s artistic journey began with high school comics. His college strip, The Riot Act, ran in the Northern Iowan newspaper. A versatile artist educator, Greene has worked in museums, art schools, universities, and libraries. A 5-time Gold Key Educator’s Award recipient, his work has spanned the US and Poland, where he studied in 2004. In 2022, his comic Larry Loathman Snake Master was featured in “A Serious Look at the Funnies: 100 Years of Comics,” curated by Denis Kitchen.
Greene will read (with audience participation!) at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 2nd, in the Art Auditorium E-112-F.
