Andres Rojas brings poetic genius to JaxbyJax

JaxbyJax Literary Arts Festival VIII looks forward to presenting Andres Rojas reading from his new poetry book, Third Winter In Our Second Country (Trio House Press, 2021) on Saturday, October 16 at the Jessie Ball DuPont Center in downtown Jacksonville.

Andres Rojas was born in Cuba and came to the U.S. at age 13. He currently edits for $ – Poetry Is Currency and has previously served as poetry editor for Compose and Bridge Eight, as well as being a reader for New England Review. He is the author of two poetry chapbooks and a full-length book, Third Winter in Our Second Country (Trio House Press, 2021). His poetry has been featured in the Best New Poets anthology and has appeared in, among others, AGNIBarrow StreetColorado ReviewDiodeMassachusetts ReviewNew England Review, and Poetry Northwest.
