Multi-faceted artist Barbara Colaciello began her career working with Andy Warhol for six years at the Factory in NYC as the Advertising Director of Warhol’s magazine, Interview. Her original solo play, Life on the Diagonal, debuted at Theater Lab in New York City in 2008. A 2013 TEDxJacksonville Speaker, Barbara was a recipient of a 2020 Art Ventures Individual Artist Grant from the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida to write a site-specific solo performance piece Open Heart (ed), a play that investigates the subjects of care giving, and women’s heart health. She’s the Founder and Artistic Director of BABS’LAB, a training and performance space located in the CoRK Arts district producing monthly Story Slams, and community events. She serves as the Artistic Director of Untold Stories, a live oral storytelling series produced by the Florida Theatre, now in its third season, that offers a platform for Northeast Florida residents to share their unique and inspiring experiences.
