At 7pm on Saturday, August 15, Functionally Literate is hosting Phillippe Diederich (author of Sofrito) and Cecilia Rodriguez (author of Oye What I’m Gonna Tell You) at the gallery at Avalon Island (39 S. Magnolia Ave) to celebrate Cuban culture with a free reading and book signing.

Books are being sold by Bookmark It, beer and wine by donation, and food by Mi Casita Truck.
