We’re so happy that Emily K. Micheal will read with us at JaxbyJax Literary Arts Festival on Saturday, October 13th.

Emily K. Michael is a blind poet, musician, and writing instructor from Jacksonville, FL. She teaches creative and academic writing courses and delivers poetry workshops at the University of North Florida. Her poetry and essays have appeared in Wordgathering, The Hopper, Artemis Journal, The South Carolina Review, The Deaf Poets Society, Nine Mile Magazine, Bridge Eight, Narrative Inquiry in Bioethics, BREVITY’s Nonfiction Blog, and AWP Writer’s Notebook. Emily’s work centers on ecology, disability, feminism, and music.
