July 4th With Morse Museum

morse

This Saturday at its Independence Day Open House, the Morse Museum will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Park Avenue. Come enjoy free admission from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and receive a commemorative bookmark.

The last 20 years have been pivotal in the Museum’s evolution as an institution. Since that celebratory ribbon-cutting on July 4, 1995, the Morse has been able to put more and more of the collection on view while simultaneously strengthening both the aesthetic and scholarly quality of the exhibitions. Our event is held in conjunction with Winter Park’s “Olde Fashioned 4th of JulyCelebration” in Central Park, a tradition that began when the Morse opened its doors on Park. The city celebration, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., includes free hot dogs and watermelon, horse-drawn wagon rides, live patriotic music by the Bach Festival Choir, and more.
