When Terry Odell first came to a meeting of the Pregnant Pigs writing group, which she’d heard about while teaching at the Adult Literacy League with fellow Piggy Katherine Vaccaro, she insisted she wasn’t much of a writer. In fact, she’d only written some fan fiction about her favorite television show, The Highlander, because the star of the show was hot, and it was a bonding experience with her son, who had told her about the show.

As a testament to what the encouragement of other writers can do (and with a lot of dedication and hard work from someone who finds out in mid-life that writing is her passion), Terry Odell is now an award-winning author of romantic mysteries.
