Marcia Brooks won 4th place in the 5th Annual Writer’s Digest Poetry Awards for her poem “Rosary Beads and Tarot Cards.”   The names of the poets and the poem titles of the 1st through 10th place winners will be printed in the August 2010 Writer’s Digest.   Also, in addition, the 1st through 50th place poems will be printed in a special competition collection that can be purchased from Writer’s Digest. Way to go!

Chris Wiewiora got back-to-back acceptances for two online publications (SwinkMag.com’s Dead Letter Office and EmpriseReview.com’s Nonfiction List) during his final exams. Then his poem “Six Points” was chosen to be published by the Unrorean. Hopefully you’ll consider purchasing a copy for yourself, too. At only $2, it’s a pretty sweet deal. Congratulations, Chris!
