Shannon Pulusan Reads Across the Miles

Shannon Pulusan is currently a poetry candidate at Rutgers Newark’s MFA program. She reviews poetry as an editorial assistant for Flock, manages her blog quiet planet, and draws round-faced characters with triangle noses and pepperoni cheeks under the name moonmemo. Her work has been featured in Bridge Eight, Entropy, Talon Review, and more.

Brad Kuhn to Read in JaxbyJax Documentary

Brad Kuhn began his career as a staff writer for the Wall Street Journal and has been producing content in print and electronically for most of his career. He has written and published more than a dozen books, including three under his own name, and has worked with writers and publishers on the production and marketing of e-books, audiobooks, print-on-demand, and traditionally published hardbacks. He is a founding director of the Jack Kerouac Writers in Residence Project of Orlando, and former owner of Shady Lane Press, an award-winning independent publisher of short story and poetry collections.

He and his wife, the writer Darlyn Finch Kuhn, run the Jax by Jax Literary Arts Festival and host Scribbler’s Corner at River of Grass, a podcast on writers and writing.

In his current capacity as founder and CEO of Brad Kuhn & Associates, LLC, a public relations and marketing firm based in Jacksonville, he produces ebooks, audiobooks, podcasts, streaming news segments and video book trailers, and advises authors on ways to maximize their audience. His latest book, Dirty Work: The Untold Story of My Secret Mission to Steal Back TWA Flight 847 From Hezbollah, is available at Chamblin’s Uptown and Chamblin’s Bookmine. It’s also available online in ebook, and audiobook formats.

JaxbyJax Welcomes the Return of Ben Atkinson

Ben Atkinson’s first collection, Spider Lightning (Hidden Owl), was released at JaxByJax last year. His poems have appeared in Cadence, Chelonian Conservation and Biology, Facets, FM Quarterly, and Stockpot. Ben has read for the JaxByJax Literary Arts Festival, Sing Out Loud Festival, and the Southeastern Sister Cities Reading Tour.
