Rachel Duff is an educator and writer. Her writing explores topics of feminism, family and Latinidad. She draws inspiration from the strong women who came before her, as close as her own mother and as distant as the Taína ancestors she carries in her spirit. She is also a middle school ESOL teacher and her students give her purpose everyday. Her writing can be found in Zines around the country such as St. Sucia, Yes Ma’am Zine, Indigizine, Joteria, Mujeres De Maiz, Chiflada Zine and online platforms like The Mujerista. Writing, to her, is a form of activism and a method of healing.

Damon Thomas grew up on the banks of the Suwannee River.  Here he experienced a Southernness that included sea monsters, swamp cabbage and makeshift graves.  Damon is a regular contributor to Atomic Style Society Magazine.

We are so grateful that they are a host venue for the JaxbyJax Literary Arts Festival to be held on Saturday, October 13th from 3-6 p.m.

Being a native Floridian and current resident, Michelle Lizet Flores is happy to have returned to the land where trees don’t sleep. A graduate of FSU and NYU creative writing programs, she currently works as a 5th grade teacher where she fosters the next generation of American writers.
