Southeast Sister Cities Reading Tour is proud to bring a fine group of Orlando writers to read to Jacksonville, joined by two stellar Jacksonvillians. The event is hosted by Darlyn Finch Kuhn, and will be held Saturday, June 30th from 7-9 pm in Bab’s Lab, CoRK Arts District, Jacksonville, FL 32204.

The concept is simple. Our writers read in your town. Then your writers read in our town. Everybody wins!

Orlando writers reading in Jacksonville are: Shawn Welcome, Tod Caviness, Jesse Bradley, and Peter Gordon. Jacksonville writers reading are: Ben Atkinson and Darick Taylor.

Doors at 7. Free and open to the public. (Donations for the venue and writers accepted.)

Did You Know?

Jack Kerouac Simple Words

Did you know that clicking “like,” or “interested,” or even “going” on a Facebook event page doesn’t actually mean you’ve committed? Now, your Scribbler isn’t fussing, but she does need to know how many seats to save, how much coffee and tea to brew, and how many handouts of Jack Kerouac’s ‘beliefs and techniques for writing and life’ to print out. So, check out the links below, and spend three hours from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, June 9th polishing the craft with the voice of the Beat generation at River of Grass Writing Experience, 8472 Concord Blvd. W, Jacksonville, FL 32208.

Two things will happen when we get your email saying you’re coming. You’ll get a return email with directions to River of Grass. And you’ll receive an invoice from Brad Kuhn & Associates, LLC for $50, which you can pay online via credit card, Pay Pal, or  ACH, OR on Saturday afternoon at the door, by cash, check, or credit card.  It doesn’t get easier than that.
