Sunday Author Talk with Geoff and Janet Benge

Join Geoff and Janna Benge at the Winter Park Library on Sunday, January 4th at 2 p.m. for a Sunday Author Talk.  This amazing couple has written over 30 books and are the founders of Silver Fern Writers. Their most recent book, Redemption, tells the story of Louis Zamperini, whose life story has recently been made into the major motion picture, Unbroken, by Angelina Jolie.

New Year’s Resolution to Paint?

There’s still time left to sign up for one of the painting classes that Scribbler-turned-artist Robert Ross will be teaching at Crealde School of Art starting the week of Jan. 20. 

“Putting New Life into Still Life” will be offered six Wednesday evenings from 6-9 p.m., and “Painting the Landscape with Heart and Mind” will be taught six Thursday mornings from 9- 12 noon. For more info or to sign up, go to: http://www.crealde.org/painting_and_drawing.html.

Things are heating up around Sewing Holes, and I’d love to see you at some (or all!) of the following events:

On Monday, March 23, 2015, Darlyn Finch Kuhn’s debut novel, Sewing Holes, will be released for sale wherever books are sold.  You can pre-order it now from Twisted Road Publications.

On Saturday, March, 28th, the official Sewing Holes Launch Party will be held at the Jack Kerouac Project House in College Park.  Do come help us celebrate!

Friday, February 27th: South Florida State College – Author’s Conference and Book Fair – Darlyn Finch Kuhn will present a workshop on the “Planting, Care, and Feeding of Writing Groups.”  

Wednesday, April 1st: Florida Writing Association – Winter Park- 6:30 p.m. Darlyn Finch Kuhn will speak on the topic “Change the Names and Make Stuff Up,” about the process of turning life experience into fiction.  

Sunday, April 19th: Winter Park Public Library – Sunday Author Talks – 2 p.m. – Darlyn Finch Kuhn will read from her novel, Sewing Holes, and sign books.  

Friday, April 24th: LifeArt Studio – Orlando – 6 p.m. – Darlyn Finch Kuhn will read from her novel, Sewing Holes, and sign books.

Thursday, May 14th: Maitland Writers Group-Maitland Public Library-6:30 p.m.- Darlyn Finch Kuhn will speak on the topic, “Power of the Pen: Be the Change You Want to See in the World.”

Friday, May 29th: Spalding Celebration of New Books – Louisville, KY – Darlyn Finch Kuhn will read from her novel, Sewing Holes, and sign books.
