Artist Group Finds Beauty in New Orlando Studio

“It’s Beautiful to Be Back” could easily be the theme for McRae Art Studios’ Holiday Open House, planned for Saturday, Nov. 18, in the studio’s new location in Orlando. The event marks the 23-member artist group’s return to the city of its birth three decades ago, after an 18-year stay in Winter Park, Fla.

The event, from 4-9 p.m., is free and open to the public.

“We can’t wait to show off our beautiful new 10,000 square foot studio space to our collectors and new visitors,” says Stephen Bach, the group’s president. “The turnout for our ‘8×10 Inches of Art’ fundraiser in October was phenomenal. We made lots of new friends that night.”

The eagerly awaited annual Holiday Open House at McRae (mcraeartstudios.com) gives art collectors and gift-givers a unique opportunity to browse 23 artist studios, visit with the artists and purchase original art. Hundreds of original art works will be available including paintings, pastels, photographs, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry and ceramics.

McRae Art Studios is located at 1000 Arlington Street in Orlando. Secure on-site parking is available.

MCRAE ART STUDIOS, a collective of 23 independent artists founded in 1986, was established to allow member artists to work and mingle and to attract community attention to the area’s outstanding talent. McRae maintains the highest level of artistic accomplishment by bringing artists into the collective by a jury process. It has been home to many nationally recognized artists. Twice a year, McRae hosts Open Houses that attract thousands of visitors and collectors. For more information: mcraeartstudios.com.
