Double Trouble

The guest speakers for January’s Maitland Writers Group meeting will be author Pat Spears and Twisted Road Publications editor/publisher Joan Leggitt. Their topic will be writing and publishing flawed characters.  The meeting will be Thursday, January 8th at 6:30 p.m. at the Maitland Public Library.  The meeting is free and open to the public.

Details on Sunday’s Locally Grown Words Book Fair

On Sunday, December 14, 2014 over 40 Central Florida authors will once again be lining East End Market’s courtyard and halls for Bookmark Its annual Locally Grown Words Holiday Book Fair.   This fun and free event brings together local writers of every genre (children’s, youth, fiction, non-fiction, poetry, cooking, and more) for a personalized holiday shopping experience unlike any other.

TIME:      Noon-4:00 pm

PLACE:    Bookmark It, located in the East End Market

PRICE:     Free to attend (books available for sale by authors)

 

In addition, this year Bookmark It is proud to support a ‘gently used’  book drive for the students of Mollie Ray Elementary School, a title-one school located in South Orange County.  Bring in a book (or a pile of books !) and receive 20% off anything purchased in the store during the book fair (or the week before !).
