Elaine Person came in second place in the Head-to-Head Haiku contest at the Orlando Fringe Festival.

Robert Ross

Robert Ross, an Orlando-based painter will display his urban-themed oil paintings from June 6th through August 9th at the Crealde School of Art’s Showalter Hughes Community Gallery in Winter Park. The gallery will host an opening reception for the exhibit on Friday, June 6th at 6 p.m. The opening reception is free and open to the public.

Science Night Live

The Orlando Science Center will host “Science Night Live” on Saturday, June 7th from 8-11 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $14 for seniors.

Enjoy a concert by live band “TWITCHY,” led by Florida Institute of Technology President Anthony Catanese and former NASA Astronaut Captain Winston Scott; experience the return of laser light shows in the Dr. Phillips CineDome with The Beatles; view stars and planets through the giant refractor telescope in the Crosby Observatory; and conduct lab experiments in Dr. Dare’s laboratory. Food and adult beverages available for purchase during the event.
