The Waterhouse At War

The Museum of Art and History will host “The Waterhouse At War” exhibit in their Waterhouse residence area from May 22nd through August 10th. Tickets are $3, or free with proof of membership. The exhibit is open Thursday through Sunday from 12-4 p.m.

Five generations of Waterhouses lived in the family home before it became a museum. Learn about the Waterhouse Residence Museum’s early inhabitants and their service to their country.

Rembrandt, Rubens, Gainsborough and the Golden Age of Painting

The Orlando Museum of Art will host the “Rembrandt, Rubens, Gainsborough and the Golden Age of Painting” exhibit through May 25th. Admission cost is $8 and the exhibit is open for viewing during normal hours.

Comprised of the major genres of painting that were popular at this time – portraits, religious paintings, landscapes, scenes of everyday life, still life and interpretations of classical antiquity, this exhibition will illustrate both the people and the objects that made the two centuries between 1600 and 1800 such a rich cultural age.
