Hairspray

The Garden Theatre will host the musical “Hairspray” from April 25th through May 25th with times varying by day. Tickets are $29 with a discounted rate available for students and seniors.

It’s 1962, and the lovable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad has only one desire – to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show. When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob Link Larkin, and integrate a TV network, all without denting her ‘do!

Free Movie Night in the Park

The Orlando Shakespeare Theatre will host a movie night with the film “Much Ado About Nothing” in Loch Haven Park on Saturday, April 26th at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre’s website.

“Much Ado About Nothing” synopsis reads: a modern retelling of Shakespeare’s classic comedy about two pairs of lovers with different takes on romance and a way with words.

Casselberry’s Art and Music in the Park

The city of Casselberry will host the “Art and Music in the Park” festival on May 9th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at city hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Come hungry because no reservations are needed for this el fresco dinner venue and you are invited to choose from more than 15 gourmet food trucks from The Food Truck Bazaar. Each food truck offers delicious culinary delights that range from flatbread pizzas to frosted cupcakes. With the park’s beautiful lakefront view and live performances by Ennis Pruitt, it will be the perfect setting for an eventful evening.

The Madman’s Manuscript

Orlando’s premier Gothic/Steampunk/Horror Circus – John Didonna’s Phantasmagoria, as they present Charles Dickens’ “The Madman’s Manuscript” and other ghostly tales through storytelling, dance and live music.
