The Art Gallery of Viera will host the exhibit “International Vibe.” The exhibit will feature work from the late Robert Lebron, a world famous artist who just happened to teach pallet knife painting in the gallery’s classroom.

At the opening on April 12th from 6-9 pm, the gallery will offer wine and light refreshments along with an art demo by gallery artist, Maria Reyes Laughlin. She will reveal her process of creating art from mixed media that includes graphite, colored pencils and charcoal. The gallery also holds an art give-away at every opening and you can win a framed print “Beso de Amor” by Maria.

Theatre UCF students will perform “And Then Came Tango” at the Orlando Repertory Theatre and UCF theatre from March 23^rd through April 13^th.

The play is inspired by the true story of Roy and Silo, two male chinstrap penguins living in New York’s Central Park Zoo that form a bond, “adopt” an egg and raise the hatchling named Tango.

The Brevard Symphony Orchestra will perform “Carmina Burana” at the Maxwell C. King Center on Saturday, April 12^th at 8 p.m.

Orff’s epic “Carmina Burana” will feature over 80 musicians and include guest vocal soloists, the Brevard Community Chorus, the BCC Concert Choir and the Brevard Children’s Chorus. Larsen’s unique piece for orchestra, Song-Dances to the Light, begins the concert and will highlight a children’s chorus, student narrators and Orff Ensemble.

Snap Space will host “A Certain Point of View” at 1013 E. Colonial Dr. from March 21^st through April 20^th.  The exhibit is free and open to the public.

An illustrator and journalist working in and around Orlando, Thorspecken acts as a human camera, recording events and posting daily sketches on his digital diary. This is his way to document life in our community, one sketch at a time. On Saturday, March 29^th from 1-3 p.m. Thor will sign his new book ‘Urban Sketching.’
