River City Writers Group

Scribbles is very excited to announce a new chapter of the Florida Writers Association right here in Jacksonville. I attended the first meeting in September, and can tell you there are exciting things happening!

Here is what leader Claudia Oltean says on the River City Writers website:

Writers Helping Writers

Welcome to the River City Writer’s Group website. I’m Claudia Oltean, group leader. We are a Jacksonville-area chapter of the Florida Writer’s Association. Our meetings are open to anyone with an interest in writing fiction or non-fiction and to those who are new to writing, have unpublished material, or are indie or traditionally-published authors.

To attend our meetings you do not have to be a member of the Florida Writer’s Association and there is no charge.

Beginning in September of this year, we will meet on the second Saturday of each month at the Southeast Regional Public Library, 10599 Deerwood Park Blvd. Jacksonville, Fl. 32256.  See meeting times below.
