The Southeast Museum of Photography will host Luis Gispert on Tuesday, July 1^st at 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Gispert will speak to the audience as part of the Master Artist Outreach Program.

Luis Gispert is an internationally renowned visual artist who creates art through a wide range of media, including photographs, film, sounds, and sculptures, focusing on hip-hop, youth culture, and Cuban-American history.

Poetry Ensemble of Orlando Annual Poetry Contest Award

On Sunday, June 22nd at 2 p.m., the Poetry Ensemble of Orlando will perform at the Maitland Public Library. The winners of their annual poetry contest will be honored, followed by an open mic with the theme, “Seasons.” A free writing workshop led by Elaine Person follows from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
