The Winter Park Library will host a book fair featuring local and regional writers on Saturday, April 19th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.They still have room for a few more writers. How about you? Dandelion Communitea Café will host a “Diverse Word” poetry event on April 1st at 8 p.m. The event will feature spoken word poetry hosted by Shawn Welcome. The event is free and open to the public.
Diverse Word creates an environment conducive of eclectic spoken word poetry in order to expose all types of styles in writing and performing to the city. It is nothing but inspiration for not only poets but for those who just enjoy the art.
Sandi Hutcheson, author of Looks Great Naked, will speak at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April2nd at the Florida Writer’s Association meeting held at the University Club of Winter Park, 841 N. Park Ave. Sandi will discuss her journey from avid reader to published author. She will speak about her secrets for turning personal stories into compelling fiction. The event is free and open to the public.
