And Then Came Tango

Theatre UCF students will perform “And Then Came Tango” at the Orlando Repertory Theatre and UCF theatre from March 23rd through April 13th.

The play is inspired by the true story of Roy and Silo, two male chinstrap penguins living in New York’s Central Park Zoo that form a bond, “adopt” an egg and raise the hatchling named Tango.

Story Telling Reborn

Sleeping Moon Café and Austin’s Coffee in Winter Park will host a weekly event, alternating between the two venues, where tellers are encouraged to get in front of the crowd and share a story of theirs. Stories can range in time, but should be no more than 10 minutes long. The events are free and open to all who wish to attend and listen. For more information, contact Tim Rumsey. Below are a list of upcoming events:

Magic Carpet Ride

Sleeping Moon Café will host story-telling night on Thursday, March 27th at 7:30 p.m. Sign up will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the stories will start at 8 p.m. Once the limit of 10 volunteers is reached, the list will be “closed.” Tim Rumsey will host the event. The event is free and open to all, but a purchase from the café is asked.

Stories Never End

One of the events will be held at Austin’s Coffee on Thursday, April 3rd at 8 p.m. Sign up will begin at 8 p.m. and story telling will start at 8:30 p.m. Once 10 people have signed up to share their stories the list will be closed.
