Sanford Art Walk

The City of Sanford will host an art walk on Friday, May 23rd at 6 p.m. The event will begin in downtown Sanford and is free for everyone to attend.

The participating venues this month are: Gallery on First, Historic Sanford Welcome Center, Hyder Gallery Center for Fine Art,
Jeanine Taylor Folk Art Framing and 508 Gallery of Art. All venues are within walking distance of one another and will be open late for patrons to stroll the downtown district and enjoy art and refreshments.

The Waterhouse At War

The Museum of Art and History will host “The Waterhouse At War” exhibit in their Waterhouse residence area from May 22nd through August 10th. Tickets are $3, or free with proof of membership. The exhibit is open Thursday through Sunday from 12-4 p.m.

Five generations of Waterhouses lived in the family home before it became a museum. Learn about the Waterhouse Residence Museum’s early inhabitants and their service to their country.
