Join Patricia Charpentier’s Seven-Day Writing Challenge in August for a fun and free way to get yourself writing and sharing your life stories.
Make the commitment to write every day for seven days. You will be helped along the way with daily email prompts designed to trigger memories, which will lead you to stories you might not have otherwise thought to write about.

Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center is offering visitors an intimate glimpse into the lives of those who endured the ghettos and camps of the Holocaust. The translated text of postcards and letters represent the authentic voices of the inmates speaking to us and allow us to gain perspective on how we view conflicts today. This exhibit will be held through August 29^th.

Dandelion Communitea Café hosts Diverse Word (eclectic spoken word poetry) every Tuesday from 8-10 p.m. through August 26^th.  Then there will be a break until January, 2015. This event is free.

Playwrights’ Round Table at Orlando Shakespeare Theater presents seven short original plays by member playwrights through August 3^rd. The plays include The Roulette Club, How I Met the Sopranos, First Date, Transferring Kyle, Denial Seat, Extra Cherries and Dream Lover. For information on times and prices click here.
