Mary Ann de Stefano Speaks in Gainesville

Mary Ann de Stefano, editor of The Florida Writer and MAD’s Monday Muse, will speak to the Writers Alliance of Gainesville on Sunday, August 3rd at 2:30 p.m. at the Millhopper Branch of the Alachua County Library (3145 Northwest 43rd St. 32606.)

Attendees will learn stages of manuscript development, how and when to seek feedback and support, and tips for approaching revision.

 

Orange County Library System – Upcoming Writing Events

The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and the Orlando Public Library present A Summer Write-In at the downtown library in the Palm Room. The event will take place on Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Writers of all genres are invited to bring a laptop or notebook and enjoy a few fun activities and short breaks while being inspired alongside fellow writers. Herndon Branch Library will host “To Blog or Not to Blog: Developing a Blog & 100 Blog Titles!” on Thursday, July 31 at 6 p.m. Author, book coach and speaker Rik Feeney will show you how to begin and build your blog. Bring your laptop.

Orlando Public Library presents “Digital Books: Don’t Get Left Behind!” This event will be held in the Albertson Room on Monday, July 28 at 6 p.m. Hosted by Rik Feeney, this event will teach the basics of getting your books published digitally and quickly on popular digital outlets and other online sources.

Publisher Seeking New Work at Winter Park Library on Saturday, July 26th
