UCF Book Festival

The Haiku Challenge and Spoken Word Poetry
The West Oaks Branch of the Orange County Public Library will host Elizabeth Bellinger on Saturday, April 5th at 11 a.m. as she shares her tips on writing your own haikus. Come armed with your best original haikus to share. Enjoy local spoken word poets as they demonstrate the art of spoken word poetry. Poetry and Fiction Reading with Cecilia Rodriguez Milanes
Cecilia Rodriguez Milanes will present a reading of fiction and poetry on Monday, April 7th at 6 p.m. at the Southeast Branch of the Orange County Library. Cecilia is a fiction and poetry writer who teaches at the University of Central Florida. Her work reflects the lives of Latinos in the US including themes such as immigration, assimilation and race and gender issues.
