The Orlando Museum of Art will host Chie Fueki from March 1^st through April 27^th. Her exhibit and featured artwork can be viewed during normal gallery hours. Tickets can be purchased for $8.

Fueki interweaves images, patterns and spatial constructions that make complex, richly colored works. The works often begin with drawings of friends in settings around her home and neighborhood. These are reworked and transformed into more schematic interpretations of the subject that hover between representation and abstraction. Into this mix Fueki also injects a myriad of other ideas that reflect her current interests.

Thornton Park District will host its annual wine and walk event on Thursday, March 27^th from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The event itself is free, but a $10 donation gets you a pour of wine at various restaurants. Come check out the great food and talented people of Thornton Park!

The Orlando Ballet will perform the classic “Beauty and the Beast” on April 12^th at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre at 11:30 a.m. Tickets will be $25-35.

Follow Belle and all your favorite characters as she falls in love with the scary Beast. Orlando Ballet’s own Arcadian Broad will compose and choreograph a new, fresh interpretation of this classic tale of love and acceptance.

The Mennello Museum of American Art will host a free family day on Sunday, April 12^th from 12-4:30 p.m.

The make-and-take craft table is open from noon-2:30 p.m. and docents are available to give mini-tours of the museum. The galleries will be open until 4:30 p.m.
