Chie Fueki

The Orlando Museum of Art will host Chie Fueki from March 1st through April 27th. Her exhibit and featured artwork can be viewed during normal gallery hours. Tickets can be purchased for $8.

Fueki interweaves images, patterns and spatial constructions that make complex, richly colored works. The works often begin with drawings of friends in settings around her home and neighborhood. These are reworked and transformed into more schematic interpretations of the subject that hover between representation and abstraction. Into this mix Fueki also injects a myriad of other ideas that reflect her current interests.
