Baroque to Beatles

The Central Florida Arts Community will host “Baroque to Beatles” on April 4th at 7:30 p.m. The performance will be held at Central Christian Church. Tickets are $10, children 12 and under are free.

This classical style concert will take the audience on a journey that will vary from the Baroque era all the way to the twentieth century and the music of the Beatles. From Vivaldi to Mozart to Dvorak to McCartney to Lennon, this stimulating concert will include 40 string musicians, violin soloists and a Concerto Grosso style trio.

Thoroughly Modern Millie

The Montverde Academy will host “Thoroughly Modern Millie” from April 9th through April 12th. The show will begin Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10.

In the fast-paced 1920s, a girl from Kansas moves to New York to marry into a rich life. She samples the “trendy” flapper life, makes new friends, discovers young love and nearly gets caught in a white slavery in this heartfelt performance.

Going Baroque!

The Orlando Museum of Art will host its monthly 1st Thursday event, “Going Baroque!” on April 3rd at 6 p.m.

The event will feature artists creating traditional and modern day interpretations using notable elements applied by the renowned artists of the Golden Age of painting in Europe (1600 – 1800). Themed genres will include portraits, scenes from everyday life, landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and still life.
